In spite of a few promising signs in the economy, major indices were down this week. One of the biggest factors was a contraction in China's manufacturing based on a big manufacturing index. This, in combination with the Chinese government's recent downward revision of the country's growth target, has international investors concerned about the state of the underlying Chinese economy.
