Cloud Computing in FOREX Trading

Cloud computing is all the rage today. It is not as new as the marketing people would like us to believe, of course. Application service providers (ASPs) were cloud vendors 10 years ago. But cloud does sound more exciting and the available storage media and space and bandwidth has aided its expansion greatly. FOREX traders are beginning to come to the cloud as a solution for two problems. Traders with automated trading systems and EAs can host their trading platform on a broker's cloud or with an independent virtual private server (VPS) company.

The trader remains able to access her account and perform all functions just as if the platform was on her personal computer or client. The advantage is the stability of the cloud or VPS with almost zero chance of downtime. Another advantage in some instances is lower latencyâ
