JPMorgan to Cut 8,000 Jobs; Tesla Named Top Vehicle Pick
Stocks finished the day flat with the three main indices ending in the red. JPMorgan Chase (JPM) announced early this morning that they will be eliminating around 8,000 jobs. The nation's biggest bank cited that a drop in the demand for refinancing is the cause behind the need to eliminate all these jobs. General Motors (GM) recently announced that they were recalling a small number of cars due to a faulty ignition switch. But today they announced that they are recalling 4 more models and that the number of deaths due to this faulty switch has doubled to 13.Consumer Reports released their top vehicle picks of 2014 and Tesla's Model S was named the best overall vehicle due to its "brimming innovation".
