Financial Crisis in Europe Driving Dow Down; FTC Sues Amazon
The possible Portuguese financial crisis may be spreading across the rest of Europe, thus driving the Dow down. If the financial crisis were to spread it would negatively impact all of the work that the the European Central Bank has been doing in recent years to stabilize the European economy. The Federal Trade Commission filed a lawsuit today against Amazon (AMZN) for allowing kids to make in-app purchases on mobile devices without proper parental consent. Combined charges add up to millions of dollars. The number of Americans filing for new unemployment benefits fell last week to one of the lowest levels since the recession began in 2007.This fall signals that labor market continues to grow.
