The Dow Jones and S&P 500 End the Day With Record Highs
The Dow Jones continued its record streak, finishing with a record close for the second day in a row. But the Dow wasn't alone today, the S&P 500 also closed the day with a record high. Oracle's (ORCL) co-founder, Larry Ellison, is planning on stepping down from his position as CEO. Ellison will remain the with the company as the board chairman and will take over the position of chief technology officer. U.S. household net worth increased by $1.4 trillion in the second quarter to $81.5 trillion. Strong market gains and higher home prices drove this U.S. household wealth to a record high.
