Dow Closes Above 17,900 for the First Time; 208,000 Jobs Added by Private Sector in November

Stocks climbed further today as the Dow Jones and S&P 500 notched all-time closing highs. The Dow Jones even closed above 17,900 for the first time ever today. Stocks rose as reports were released regarding steady job growth and other positive economic news. The U.S. private sector added 208,000 jobs in November, missing the estimated 221,000 jobs. Private employers have added jobs for 57 straight months, averaging around 186,000 jobs per month.
