Dow Falls 291 Points After Companies Give Bleak 2015 Outlook
Stocks end the day down as disappointing earning reports roll in. The Dow ended the day down 291 points, Nasdaq fell 90 points and the S&P 500 was down 27 points at the end of the trading day. Proctor & Gamble (PG) and Caterpillar (CAT) cut their sales and profit forecasts for 2015, signalling a weak global economy and and a strong U.S. dollar could potentially dent U.S. growth and profit this year. But those two weren't the only companies dragging the stocks down.
