Apple Unveiled New Products On Wednesday
Apple (AAPL) has a long history of introducing innovated and revolutionary products to the market. The company's shares are held in the portfolio of some of the top value investors which includes Carl Icahn. On Wednesday, at it's annual live event, Apple (AAPL) unveiled a handful of updated products, and then went on to introduce a few new ones. The company's September event is one you never want to miss, an event that launches new ground breaking products and software.
Apple's event opened with the company unveiling an updated version of their Apple Watch that you can now buy in Gold and Rose Gold aluminum casing.
The company went on to announce a brand new 12.9 inch iPad 'Pro' that will take direct aim at Microsoft's (MSFT) Surface tablet. Apple's new iPad Pro will have four speakers, dual screen capacity and a mantic keyboard. After revealing their new iPad, Apple also revealed a new stylus pencil called the 'Apple Pencil'. It looks and feels like a real pencil, and will have to be purchased separately from the iPad for $99.
The company revealed a revolutionary new Apple TV box that will change the way that people watch TV. The new Apple TV box will bring apps and games to the big screen in your living room, and the device also comes with one glass touch pad remote with built in Siri for voice search.
The center of this event - like all of Apple's event since the iPhone was introduced the next generation of the iPhone. Apple did not disappoint when the company introduced the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, which will come in four finishes: silver, gold, rose gold, and space grey. Apple has completely redesigned the iPhone from the inside out. Apple's new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus has a 3D touch screen that allows users to press harder on the screen to access extra menus and even a special selfie feature. The new iPhones will come with a new camera that will take 4K videos.
All of these new products will be coming out between September and November of this year. Apple's investors and Wall Street will not know the success of the new products until the company reports its fourth quarter results. Shareholders didn't react super well to what Apple unveiled Wednesday, since shares fell slightly into the close.
