Greek Debt Woes Lossen to Investors Delight (COF, ING)

Markets manage to finish the week with some gains on Friday, as the Dow and S&P notch gains, and the NASDAQ falls. The upward move can be largely attributed to loosening fears over Greek’s debt issues. Rumors an austerity deal is making progress alleviated worries. Markets began to trickle downward throughout the day, though, limiting gains. In corporate news, Capital One (COF) acquired ING Direct (ING), another purchase in the recent spending spree aimed at entering the consumer banking market.
