Business Day
The period of time, typically between eight a.m. and five p.m. by the local time, in which companies and markets conduct official business activities. Foreign exchange markets differ from other markets in that they remain open from the opening of business on Monday morning, Asia-Pacific time, to the close of business on Friday in New York, in the Eastern Standard Time zone.
