Buy Order Imbalance
A high proportion of buy orders placed in relation to the number of sell orders for a market. A buy order imbalance typically follows the release of news about future price movements in a particular security or currency. Markets may take actions to minimize the imbalance, such as notifying media outlets or halting trading on the specific security or currency.
