Commodity Channel Index
An equation used to predict commodity or currency price cycles. By subtracting the moving price average from the current price of a commodity or currency, and dividing by the number of normal deviations times a coefficient, technical analysts can determine if a price or exchange rate cycle has hit a high point or low point, helping to drive investment decisions.
