Discount arbitrage
a riskless arbitrage set up in which a discounted option is bought and an opposite position is taken in the underlying market. These types of trades are often only available to traders with access to extremely fast trading algorithms that can scan multiple markets at once. Institutions will spend millions on these Type of programs in order to scalp the tiny movements in price that set up these opportunities.
