ECN broker
An agent for transactions in the forex market that employs an Electronic Communications Network to give their clients direct access to market maker pricing consolidated from multiple sources. Although an ECN broker will typically charge a fixed commission per trade, many forex traders prefer using them because Dealing spreads are often tighter due to competition between market makers, and they do not generally take the other side of Client trades.
