end of day order
An instruction given to a broker to purchase or sell an asset at a specific price by the conclusion of that trading session or not at all. Since the over the counter forex market does not close during weekdays, an end of day order would be more commonly used for currency futures contracts traded on an exchange like the Chicago International money market (IMM). Also, such orders are cancelled if not executed by the end of the trading day, unlike good 'Till Cancelled (GTC) orders.
