first notice day
The initial date when a notice of intent to go through the delivery of a commodity into an expiring futures contract can be provided to a buyer by the relevant clearing house. The first notice day can vary among futures contracts, but for forex futures traded in the United States, it is the same as the last trading day, and typically occurs around the middle of the month for the quarterly March, June, September and December futures expiration dates.
