Fractional Reserve Banking
System of banking requiring the holding in reserve of just a minimal amount of a bank's Cash deposits. fractional reserve banking has the advantage of being able to release capital to be borrowed by others, thus contributing to more activity in foreign exchange markets. Also called fractional deposit lending.
