Functional Currency
Main type of currency an entity or company will use in a majority of its business transactions. Typically this will either be the local currency of the country in which the company resides, or an accepted currency within the country where it does a majority of its business transactions. Functional currency is mostly used in accounting in order to standardize the balance sheets of corporations.
