Fund of Funds
Investment strategy of holding several different Funds instead of picking actual stocks, bonds, futures, or currencies as Investment vehicles. The idea is to use several different managers in order to spread risk and help smooth out the equity curve. Quite often this will be a fund that an investor can buy into, in order to get Exposure to numerous other managers. Also called: Multi-manager investment.
