indexed currency borrowings
Foreign Currency Denominated loans borrowed by a domestic entity that have their value tied in some way to an observable quantity like inflation. For example, indexed currency borrowings can be used to profit from interest rate differentials, as in the Carry Trade where traders may also hope to gain from depreciation of the borrowing currency relative to the lending currency.
