Standardized contracts for delivery at a predetermined date in the future with values derived from the price of fixed income securities. interest rate futures are traded on various exchanges like the CME's Chicago Board of Trade for underlying instruments like U.S. Treasury bonds and bills, Eurodollars, LIBOR, Fed funds and certificates of deposit. Forex traders could use them to take an interest rate view.
