International Foreign Exchange Master Agreement (IFEMA)
A standardized agreement introduced by the foreign exchange Committee for the exchange of currency in 1997 that standardizes all aspects of forex transactions and provides detailed practices for creating and settling forex contracts. The International Foreign Exchange Master Agreement was sponsored by the British Bankers Association, the Tokyo foreign exchange market Practices Committee and the Canadian Foreign Exchange Committee.
