International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
A non-governmental organization established for the promotion of standardization with the purpose of facilitating international commerce. The organization also participates in the development of intellectual, technological, scientific and economic activity. The results of the group's work in the field of international agreements are published as international standards. The International Organization for Standardization code for currencies is known as ISO 4217 and its currency codes are widely used by traders and journalists.
