International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA)
An international organization of major swap dealers founded in 1985 and based in New York City. TheInternational Swaps and Derivatives Association is responsible for publishing the code of Standard Wording, Assumptions and provisions for Swaps, or the Swaps Code, which standardizes U.S. dollar Denominated OTC interest rate swaps. The ISDA's main purpose is to encourage the safe and efficient development of the privately negotiated derivatives market that includes forex derivatives.
