positive yield curve
An upward sloping graph of the level of the returns on a set of similarly creditworthy debt instruments that are charted vertically against their maturity dates on the graph's horizontal axis. A positive yield curve slope is the norm in the U.S. debt markets and is sometimes taken as an indication by forex traders that interest rates will be rising.
