A form of gambling on future price movements in an asset where a provider offers a bid/offer price to a gambler who selects one side and an amount that they wish to risk per price increment. An example of forex spread betting in the EUR/USD currency pair based on an offer quote of 1.4000 with a bet of $1 per pip would pay off $10 if the EUR/USD exchange rate moved to 1.4010, but would show a loss of $10 if the rate went to 1.3990.
