stop limit order
An instruction to a broker that goes into effect at a particular price or better once the market trades at another specified price. For example, a Forex Trader might want to buy a currency pair on a trading range breakout to the upside, but if they did not simply want to buy at the market, they could instead leave a stop limit order to buy just above the breakout point or better once the breakout point trades.
