Economic Storm Attacks Sony Earnings
When Sony reported their Q3 earnings today, they advised investors that their 2008 fiscal results could be a net loss. And why not? The company announced net profits decreased by 95 percent in Q3. In addition, its electronics division posted negative numbers for the first time ever. Still, the company managed a net profit of 10.4 billion yen (about $115.6 million) for the period ending in December. Compared to last year, the company made 200 billion yen.
