Stock of the Day

The Foreign Money Center Banks Industry's UBS (UBS) was InvestorGuide.com's Stock of the Day on 2/10/2009.
Can UBS Become Profitable in 2009?
On Monday, Swiss bank UBS, posted a larger than expected loss of 8.1 billion francs (or $6.9 billion USD). For this same period last year, the loss was 12.97 billion francs at the onset of the financial crisis. In response, the financial institution stated it would cut more jobs and restructure its business. Shares in the company's stock rose by over 8 percent in early trading on this news.
