Many prepared food companies have survived the recession well, as consumers have been eating out less often, and making more meals at home. Tyson Foods, the nation's largest meat company which is well known for its prepared chicken products, probably seemed like an obvious example of this. But although the company is most famous for its chicken products, the company also produces beef and pork food items as well - and those items are much more costly for Tyson to prepare.
