Vice President

Candidate will be expected to take over as CEO from founder/current CEO in a 1-3 year timeframe contingent on job performance, leadership qualities, potential for growth etc.

The Vice President leads and manages the development and implementation of strategies designed to grow and advance our entrepreneurial and profitable online services company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an overall strategic vision designed to take our business to the next level
- Develop a long-term plan to manage risk while being open to change, challenges and experimentation
- Clearly communicate the overall strategic vision and obtain buy-in and ownership from the team
- Leverage internal talent to brainstorm/identify/develop large-scale ideas for improvements to existing websites and potential new ones
- Manage and delegate the day-to-day operations from an administrative and a financial perspective, including but not limited to hiring, termination and retention, policy administration, outsourcing, P&L, etc.
- Provide support and guidance to ad sales staff
- Develop strategies and processes to identify and communicate with our core users in order to solve some of their problems
- Identify new markets/niches/verticals where our existing expertise can be applied
- Manage execution on a wide variety of strategic and tactical projects while coordinating with our team of energetic, intelligent individuals
- Develop strategic alliances and partnerships with firms and/or individuals whose fates and business objectives are similarly aligned
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
- BA/BS degree preferred with strong academic record from accredited University
- Experience, knowledge and/or strong interest in finance/investing
- Proven track record of successfully creating growth opportunities, managing the growth process from inception to completion and leading a team in a small to medium-sized organization
- Ability to use problems and challenges as "ladders" to achieve stakeholder (both internal and external) symmetry
- Ability to assess internal talent to focus on driving revenue by effectively challenging and motivating employees
- Working knowledge, and ability to think strategically, of Internet technologies and online business models, including, but not limited to, SEO best practices, quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Ability to construct new, ground-breaking ideas in the field of online finance/investments and beyond
- Desire and ability to locate problems/bottlenecks and conceptualize products/services aimed at solving them
- Experience in taking complex, ambiguous tasks/ideas and researching/developing a plan to deliver on them
- Programming skills are a plus but not required
