Pick Better Stocks in 10 Easy Steps
It's important to check out the company's competition for two reasons. First, it will tell you how well the company is faring in the marketplace. Are they taking market share away from competitors, or vice versa? Are they an 800-pound gorilla or a 98-pound weakling? Second, by sizing them up relative to the competition, you may find other companies worth researching. If that happens, add them to your research list and perform steps 3 and 4 for them as well.
